On July 29th I purchased a dog from Black Creek Kennels in Hamilton, Ontario Canada from Stuart. The dog was going to be shipped on July 31st. On the date we set up for shipping I made repeated attempts to contact Stuart by phone because I still had not been given the flight information rather a list of flights that he COULD put the dog on. I later discovered Stuart was actually in Jail, and the dog was in quarantine.
On the 2nd of August I was able to get in touch with his Girlfriend (Christina Riggo). Her combative demeanor toward me made in impossible to reach an agreement as to the shipment of the dog. I received two phone calls from Stuart while he was in jail for what I was told to be traffic offenses. Stuart told me he would ship the dog when he got out. On the day of Stuart's release, I made several attempts to contact him by phone and had to result in having a friend that lived close to him stop by and talked to him about the dog who was told the dog was still in quarantine. This again prompted Stuart to contact me via email and phone. He again assured me he would ship the dog.
On the day of shipment (2 weeks past the agreed upon date) Stuart told me once again that he could not ship the dog due to heat embargos. At this time I explained to Stuart that because of his actions I had lost the dog deal and no longer needed the dog and frankly was growing tired of dealing with him. I told Stuart I wanted a refund for the dog. A mutual friend contacted Stuart for an unrelated issue and was told that we (Stuart and I) had agreed that the dog was to be shipped after the 1st of Sept. This was not the case. I told Stuart I no longer needed the dog and would like a refund. Stuart contacted me and explained that he did not have the money for the refund so we agreed he would ship two green dogs down to me. One was suppose to me a male Malinois. After looking at the picture of the dog Stuart sent it was obvious that the dog was in fact a Mal X GSD cross and I told him I did not want a cross.
On October 17, 2008 Stuart email me and told me he had a female GSD (the same one that is currently STILL for sale on the pedigree data base board) that he would also be sending with the Mal X GSD Cross. I again told him I did not want the cross. Since that day I have tried repeatedly to contact him to arrange shipping. To date I have not heard from him.
While Stuart has dropped off the grid and refuses to answer his phone, emails or act like a responsible adult. I have contacted Hamilton Ontario Police Department and have started the paperwork for fraud and a laundry list of other charges. Any way I am writing this to warn you of this con artist. Buyer Beware. This is not a vendor you want to get involved with. I doubt he will send the dogs or have the stones to call me but at least the dog world can learn for my mistake. ***Update****
After spending the better part of a year waiting for Stuart to do the right thing, it has become apparent that is nothing more then a con artist and thief. He has taken my money, refused to ship my dog (s) and now will not take any of my calls. I would tell anyone looking to buy a dog from him to run the other way as fast as you can. Since posting this warning I have gotten hundreds of Emails from other people he has done the same thing to. Stuart is a hack, a thief and a lier. Please learn from my mistake and stay away from him. His web site has now been converted to a porn site so that should give you some insight as to how big of a scum bag this guy is. I get calls and emails from people who have delt with him or know him. All are telling me that he is worthless. I am told of how he keeps his dogs in an abandoned house. Pays for everything with cash, will not divulge information as to the back ground of the dogs. A few have even expressed the concern that he might be into illegal activity, which would not surprise me. This guy is a piece of work. One email stated how he talks about me and my warning here on my website and how he threatens bodily harm to me, which makes me laugh. Folks that do the right thing don't act in the way that Stuart does. I guess the guilty accuses them selves over time.
