Christen began training dogs in her early teens and, not long after, joined the local Schutzhund club. She has been involved with working dogs ever since. Christen has gained further knowledge and practical hands on experience through working as a veterinary technician, animal control kennel attendant and her involvement in rescue organizations throughout the years. Her heart lies with working competitively with various "off" breeds.
